DEVELOPING TALENT
DOMINION PRODUCTIONS. INTERVIEWS IN HAMILTON Plans for the development and utl- • lisation of New Zealand talent in stage, radio, and other presentations are bo- I ing rapidly advanred and extended by Dominion Productions, Limited. The managing-director. Mr Baden P. Creighton, said that the aim is not just to train amateur talent up to professional standard, but to develop features of interest or acts which will give individual ability special points of appeal. A most modem studio will be opened in Auckland. Designed on the American plan, it will incorporate a miniature theatre, complete with stage and proper lighting and settings. This will be of great help in training amateurs, and will give clients wishing to book acts the opportunity of seeing them under actual stage conditions. Plans are under way for the presentation of revues on a professional scale in New Zealand cities, and arrangements have already been made for the recording of radio features. The organisation will act as a booking agent for theatre production, mannequin parades and the like. Instructions From Abroad Madame Hilde Altmann, wellknown for her successful training of artists in Vienna, will specialise in dancing, deportment and physical culture, and Mr Roy Nelson and Mr Oscar Mendel, the latter from Hollywood, will speciaJise in film, stage and radio work. Waikato residents who are interested are notified that personal interviews will be conducted in Hamilton I at Mrs Culford Bell’s studio.
