MATCH DECLINED HAWKES BAY—KING COUNTRY (By Telegraph.—Press Association) HASTINGS, Friday An invitation from the King Country Rugby Union to the Hawke's Bay union to play a representative match at Taumarunui in August was declined at a meeting of the management committee of the Hawke's Bay Rugby Union to-night at Napier. Mr G. A. Maddison, of Hastings, vice-president of the New Zealand Rugby Union, will be nominated by tiie Hawke’s Bay union as one of the two delegates to attend the Empire conference in London on December 15.
