SCHEME 13 WORKERS ONE OF NUMBER DISMISSED REFUSED TO TAKE GOAT OFF (By Telegraph.—Press Association) AUCKLAND, Thursday One hundred and twenty scheme 13 relief workers downed tools in Newmarket this morning because one of their number was dismissed for refusing to take off his coat when told to do so by the foreman. Later the men marched to the Newmarket Borough Council’s works, where a swimming pool of Olympic dimensions is being constructed, and endeavoured to persuade the workers to down tools. However, they were not successful.
