TAUPIRI CLEARING Wright, Stephenson and Company, Ltd., report a successful clearing sale at the Ngaruawahia saleyards on behalf of Mr F. I. Thomasen, Tenfoot Road, Taupiri. Although weather conditions were wintry there was a good attendance and the total entry of dairy cows and heifers were disposed of at auction. Good young, sound cows sold from £9 to £l\) 10s, medium conditioned £7 to £8 7s Gd, backward sorts down to £5; Jersey heifers, £G to £7 10s; a line of heifers realised £5 15s; Shorthorn calves. 325. CLEARING SALE AT OTAKIRI Tliere was a large attendance of buyers at the clearng sale held by Messrs Wright, Stephenson and Company, Ltd., on account of Mr W. T. King, Otakiri. Bidding was brisk throughout, and the all the live stock and chattels were sold under keen competition. 'The herd mainly comprised Shorthorn cows, which were in good order. Prices realised £ll, with the salifactory average of £8 for 47 sound cows sold, while a line of six Shorthorn heifers averaged £7 10s.
