Refugees from Austria
A further group of about a dozen ; refugees from Europe, chiefly from | what was formerly Austria, arrived at Wellington yesterday by the Ranga- ! tme from London. They were met by | Mr .1. Meltzer on behalf of the Jewish | welfare organisation. They all told . tlie same story of suffering in Austria ! under the Hitler regime and of the i difficulties placed in their way when j th< y endeavoured to leave. Huge Rail Traffic Nearly 11,000 holidaymakers were ■ accompanied on the 37 express trains which passed in and out of the Auck- { land station in the past two days. The .
