BRITISH PAVILION

CENTENNIAL EXHIBITiPN SOME ATTRACTIVE FEATURES (By Telegraph.—Press Association) WELLINGTON, Saturday The architect responsible for the design of the United Kingdom pavilion at the Centennial Exhibition, Mr G. O. Pratt, arrived by t'he Mataroa. Mr Pratt sc/d he expected construction of the pavilion w’ould be started in April. The building would be of a striking, modernistic design with an exterior of imitation stone. The displays would include model aeroplanes, ships, motor-cars and locomotives, while a feature would be a large map of the world showing transport routes throughout the Empire. Mr Pratt stressed the fact that the pavilion would be purely a Government concern and he had no knowledge of the possible effects of the new import regulations on exhibits from the United Kingdom. Mr Pratt is attached to the Department of Overseas Trade, London.
