He was granted leave to appeal. On February 17 a court order was issued attaching the person of Charles Bedaux, an American efficiency expert and a friend of the Duke and Duchess of Windsor. The order was issued on \ the application of Robert McChesnev, u former manager of the Bedaux Company of Africa, to recover £2500 worth of the company's stock allegedly held by Bedaux or the company. Bedaux was released after giving security, and then made application for the setting aside of the writ of attachment.
