PROFESSIONAL GOLF ROTORUA TOURNAMENT DOMINION CHAMPIONSHIP (By Telegraph.—Sperlal to Times) ROTORUA, Friday Returning a good card of 68 in the j morning round, Alex. Murray, of , Auckland, came home in 72 in the j afternoon to retain the championship played in connection with the annual New Zealand professional golfers’ tournament at Rotorua to-day. He reproduced to-day the good form which he displayed in breaking the course record with a 64 on the previous day. His aggregates for the 72 holes was 273. Murray’s 68 in the morning was an excellent effort as at the 12th he took , six after getting into a bunker. In • the. afternoon he also had a six at the toth and had to sink bis putt on the ; 18th for a five to secure a 72 and gain I a one-point lead over Albon. Albon who had dro-pped six points j on the leader at the close of the third round made a strong bid for victory in . the afternoon, and at the turn was one under bogey figures. He completed the round in 67 which was the best j of the day’s play. T. S. Galloway (Rotorua), who was j second to Murray at Invercargill last ! year, played an excellent round of 68. ! N. Fuller (Christchurch) did a good i 69 in the morning to place him in third position, but in the afternoon he crashed on the homeward turn with ! a 74, including a six at the 18th, and j finished fourth.
