Mr R. Worley, Hamilton borough engineer, has been elected member of the Auokland branch of the New Zealand Institute of Engineers.
Mr C. M. Hume, Director of HerdTesting in the Department of Agriculture, who has been visiting Hamilton, has returned to Wellington.
Earl Beatty left Auckland on Saturday for Rotorua. With the -Counted he proposes to llsh at Rotorua and later at Taupo.
Sir Harry Batterbee, the recentlyappointed British High Commissioner to New Zealand, was an over-night guest of Their Majesties at Sandringham, says a London message.
Mr F. B. Bell, who has been manager of the Thames branch of the Bank of New South Wales for the past six years, will retire on March 31 after 42 years’ service.
