DUNEDIN COMPETITIONS (By Telegraph.—Press Association) DUNEDIN, Sunday For the first time this season Dunedin cricketers enjoyed really summer conditions for grade matches yesterday. The Old Bovs’ team was the only one to force an outright win and it beat Carisbrook B by nine wickets. Old Bovs 212 and 53 for one wicket, dismissed Carisbrook B for 86 and 176 (Geddes 58, Mac Gibbon 32, Pinney 30, Groves five for 57).

The leader in the competition, Carisbrook A, held its position, seven points ahead of Old Boys, by beating Kaikorai on the first- innings. Carisbrook A scored 189 and 219 for seven wickets (Nicoll 54, Fraser 45, Milnes 49 not out, Boock five for 63). Koikourai made 109 (Moloney seven for 38, Nimmo three for 51). Grange. 220 and 105 for four wickets beat University, 178 (Lawson 52, Lemin five for 44). Albion, 301, beat Dunedin, 211 (Robertson 38, O'Sullivan 31, Rogerson 36, Torrance 31, Silver five for 54). TINDILL BCOREB CENTURY OLD BOYS’ UNBEATEN RECORD (By Telegraph. —Press Association) WELLINGTON, Sundav By defeating Wellington College Old Boys by 15 runs on the first Innings yesterday Institute Old Boys maintained its unbeaten record for the season and is leading for the senior cricket championship with 24 points from Midland, whloh has 20 points. On the opening day Wellington College Old Boy S scored 284 and Institute had lost one wioket for 14. Resuming yesterday Institute scored 299 (Scott 34 A. McLean 47, Cook 23, Dempster 28, Boddy 75, Henderson 29). Boddv and Henderson put on 72 for the eighth wicket. For Old Boys Boyes took five wickets for 74. In response to University’s total of 231 Midland ran up 405 (Tindill 100, O’Neill 90. Hepburn 64). University was dismissed for 130 in its second innings (Harpur 38. McMillan 25). Bowling for Midland: Osborn five for 22, Randall four for 22. Midland won by an innings and 44 runs. Wellington, which resumed with 147 runs on for three wickets, in reply to Hntt’s 2 52, was dismissed for a total of 242 (Kuhn 43. Morgan 36, Whyte 66, TTenlev 26).
