RANGIRIRI BHEEP FAIR The Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Company, Limited, report having held their annual sheep fair at Rangiriri yesterday, when the advertised entry of breeding ewes, lambs and wethers came forward. The demand for good lines of breeding ewes was keen and prices realised in advance of reoent rates. The top price for a line of 5-year ewes was 20s 7d, while best 2-tooth ewes made up to 25s iOd. Other 2-tooth ewes sold well at firmer values. The demand for lambs was not as keen' as has been the case recently and prices were easier. Wethers sold at late values. Quotations: —On account of Mr H. Stewart, Waipuna, 146 4 and 5-year ewes, 20s 6d; pn account of Mr R. T. Hill, Matahura, 80 mixed age ewes, 20s; on account of Finlayson Estate, Glen Murray, 160 5-year ewes, 20s sd, and 230 F.M. ewes, 17s to 18s 9d; on account of Mr H. Stannard, Waerenga, 100 4 and 5-year ewes, 19s; on account of R. A. Dickenson, Matahura, 105 4 and 5-year ewes, 19s 2d. Lines of 5-year ewes sold from 17s 6d to 18s 3d; F.M. ewes, poor conditioned. 13s 7d to 15s: cull ewes. 4s to 9s 3d: 4-tooth ewes, 20s: on account of Mr R.
