DUST IN STREET

• NUISANCE IMPROVED FURTHER HOUSE REMOVAL Referring to the steps taken by the Hamilton Borough Council to abate the dust nuisance in the main street caused by the cartage of spoil from Garden Place Hill, Mr R. Worley, the borough engineer, said this morning that the washing of the streets had greatly improved the position. Another house is to be shifted from the top of Garden Place late to-night If the final arrangements scheduled for to-day are completed it is intended to take the house to near the corner of Anglesea and Palmerston Street about midnight and leave it there until daylight so that it can be faken along Palmerston Street without damaging the trees.
