RAID IN SINGAPORE
REPORTED ARREBTB JAPANESE PROTEST (Independent Cable) (Received Jan. 26, 10.30 a.m.) TOKIO, Jan. 25 The ’Foreign Office states that representations are being made ‘to London against the arrest at Singapore of several prominent Japanese including representatvies of Mitsui and Mitsubishi Companies. SINGAPORE, Jan. 25 The police are still examining documents seized during last weeks’ raids on Japanese hotels and business premises. There have been no arrests yet and it is understood that such are likely.
