PRE-WEDDING PARTY

FOR MISS M. McGUINNESS Bowls of gay summer flowers decorated the rooms, when Miss Edna Bennett was hostess on Tuesday evening. at her residence in Fow Street, at a delightful supper party, the guests bringing gifts of china, for Miss M. McGuinness, who is to be married this evening. Miss Bennett, assisted by her mother, received the guests wearing a navy and white floral frock. Mrs Bennett wore a black moire frock patterned in yellow and red. The guest-of-honour was dressed in a charming frock of blush rose crepe soie.

Those present were:—Mesdames R. J. Boyt, N. Fraser (Auckland), L. Bell, C. Browne, H. Macpherson (Auckland), E. B. Thomson, Misses Audrey Howe, Phyllis Seccombe, Sadie Coker, Gertrude Smith, Merle Coker.
