ANION AND TE POTO IMPRESS EFFORTS AT T A KAN IN I (By Telegraph.—Special to Tlm*i) AUCKLAND, Thursday Some fine training operations were recorded at Takanlni this morning, particularly that of the Takapuna cup candidate, Valamito. This consistent galloper easily defeated High Sea over a mile and cam* »*'»nie in inspiring fasnion over the lsst six furlongs in 1.17. Anion and Te Poto also impressed in smart dashes over a few furlongs. Both grass and plough tracks wer* in use and provided excellent going. The poles were out 22ft. on the grass. On the grass track Hey Lu was Just in front of Brazilhan, with silver Glow a length away, at the conclusion or five furlongs in 1.4 1-5. Biazlllian went particularly well. Anion hit out with all his former dßsb to he three lengths clear of Arvakur at the end of a similar trial in 1.3. Hound Lp was’ not bustled while tra-ver-lng seven furlongs in 1.4 3 4-5. lull Hand went exceptionally well over six furlongs in 1.17. Hunting CBpe got to the end of three rurlongs in 37 4-ss, while Gay Movie completed half-a-mile in 4 9 3 -ss. Glenconnell did a similar task in 49 4-ss. Dainty Fox and Bachelor King recorded the same time over a similar di-tance the former being a length in front at ih* end.
