NEW YEAR BOWLING
NINE TEAMS QUALIFY SOUTH AUCKLAND TOURNAMENT Section play was finalised yesterday in the annual. New Y'ear tournament of the South Auckland Bowling Centre at the Hamilton Club’s greens. Weather conditions were again perfect and the greens were in excellent order. Altogether nine teams qualified for post-section play, these being skipped by Piikington (Hamilton), Waring (Taupiri), Morris (Whitiora), P. H. Rowe (Whitiora), Cann (Frankton), North (Te Awamutu), Kriskovich (Te Aroha), Gamble (Hamilton), ana Coutts (Hamilton). Details;— Section A. Seventh Round.—Clige 20 v. Shirley 15; Piikington 22 v.
