WAIKATO ELEVEN MATCHfWITH POVERTY BAY (Special to Times) AUCKLAND, Tuesday With a margin of four runs and one wicket in hand Poverty Bay was successful in defeating a Waikato eleven in a friendly fixture following the provincial championship. Bajtting first, Waikato compiled 277 (W. Cassidy 80, S. Storey 32; Stewart five for 71). Poverty Bay replied with 281 for nine (James 50, Dow 49 not out, Stewart 45 not out, Cooper 36, Thompson 32).
