Deo. 31 Both the political and industrial sections of the Labour movement have given assurances of assistance in Ihe organisation of the voluntary national service scheme, and ns the result of suggestions advanced in a recent interview, the Minister of Labour, Mr Brnest Brown, has agreed to the increasing of the industrial representation from employers and workers on the local committees.

A Labour suggestion for appointing a national co-ordinating committee has been approved by Sir John Anderson, Minister of National Defence.
