DECEMBER WEDDINGS

TJSCH—PERRY GO-WN OF MAGNOLIA SATIN A wedding took place at SI. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Claude- ! lands, on the afternoon of December 3, when Daphne Ellen, only daughter , of Mr and Mrs \V. N. Perry, of Grey Street, Hamilton East, was married to Owen George, younger son of Mr and Mrs C. H. Tiscli, of Wellington Street. : Hamilton East. The Rev. H. G. Gilbert was the officiating minister, and j Mr E. 11. Apthorp played the wedding : music. The church had been artist- 1 1 rally decorated with Christmas lilies ( and greenery. During the ceremony a solo was - sung by Mr Keith Priseotl. The bride, who entered the church ! with her father, wore a lovely model j gown of magnolia satin and Venetian j lace. The bodice was fashioned with a sun-ray lace and satin yoke, Hie high neckline ' being finished at the back with tiny satin buttons. Tiny buttons were also used tit trim the long closefitting sleeves, which came to a point j over the hands. The graceful pan- • elled skirt was adorned with applique, I and fell to form an oval train. Her j exquisite tulle veil, appliqued with j satin flowers and edged with lace, was j held in place with a top-knot of orange j blossom, and fell to form a seconJ \ train. She carried a shower bouquet ot Christmas lilies and lily-of-lhe-val- j ley. The Attendants She was attended by Miss Joyce ' Sanders and Misses Zcta and Dawn Barriball. cousins of the bride, as bridesmaids, and little Alison Clark |as flowergirl. The bridesmaids were I dressed alike in gowns of cyclamen sheer chiffon over satin, the bodices having heart-shaped necklines and full puffed sleeves. Velvet flowers adorned the front of the bodices, while tiny satin buttons were placed down the back. The waistlines were defined

with sashes of velvet ribbon falling over the bouffant skirts to the hemlines. Their headdresses were topknots of cyclamen and gold flowers, from which fell shoulder veils of cyclamen tulle. They carried bouquets of cyclamen sweetpeas and gold roses. The flowergirl was frocked in a gown of cyclamen chiffon over satin, the bodice having a frilled neckline and tiny satin buttons at the back. Frills formed the puffed sleeves and finished the hemline of the long full skirt, while a velvet sash encircled the waist. She wore a cyclamen tulle halo finished with gold and cyclamen flowers. Mr R. Tisch, brother of the bridegroom, was best man, and Mr R. Woodhall was groomsman. Messrs K. Dohnt, S. Gallagher and W. Choat were ushers at the church.

After the ceremony a reception was held in the Centreway Rooms, which had been beautifully decorated with summer flowers in shades of cyclamen and gold. Mrs Perry to receive the guests was wearing a Burgundy ensemble with toning brown accessories, and she carried a posy of cyclamen flowers. Mrs Tisch wore a black frock trimmed with gold and accessories to tone, her posy being composed of gold roses.

When Mr and Mrs 0. G. Tisch left by car for the wedding trip, which is to be spent in touring the North Island, the bride travelled in a London Pride rose model bolero suit with navy accessories and fur, the gift of the bridegroom. They will make their home in Hamilton.

The bride, who entered the church ! with her father, wore an ivory embos- , | sed chiffon gown over satin, cut on | medieval lines, with an exquisite waist-length tulle veil held to the head with a top-knot of Christmas lilies. She carried a sheaf of St. Joseph lilies. She was attended by Miss Sylvia Fryer, sister of the bride, as bridesmaid, who was frocked in a gown of powder blue embossed chiffon over satin, with elbow-length lace gloves and hat to tone. Her shower bouquet was composed of shaded delphiniums. Mr Frederick Walker, of Hamilton, carried out the duties of be-st man, and Messrs George and Alan Fryer were ushers at the church. After the ceremony a reception was held at the Centreway Rooms, which had been artistically decorated with pink and blue flowers. Mrs Fryer received the guests wearing a navy and gold Viennese cloque frock with navy sheer coat and matching toque. She carried a posy of gold-shaded flowers. When Mr and Mrs T. Le Marchant Hutchesson left for the wedding trip, the bride travelled in a navy and white bolero suit, and navy toque. They will make their home in Hamilton.
