BALLROOM DANCING
THE AUSTRALIAN CHAMPIONSHIPS £3OO WON BY QUEENSLANDERS The amateur dancing championship of Australia for 1938, for which the prize money totalled £3OO and several professional dancing engagements, was won by Miss Jean McCabe and Mr Tom Omdahl, of Queensland. Miss May Whitty and Mr Sid Cave (New South Wales) were second, and the Victorian entry came third. A Dunedin couple, winners of the New Zealand section, were among the competitors.
