QUOTATIONS AT SMITHFIELD SLACKNESS DUE TO HOLDAYS (By Telegraph—Press Association) WELLINGTON, Friday The New Zealand Meat Producers' Board, reporting on the Smithfleld market for the week ending Thursday, December 29, states that owing to the holidays this week the market was generally quiet with, values unchanged. First arrivals of New Zealand lamb are selling slowly from B}d to 83d ex hooks. The following are the average prices for chilled beef realised for the week: New Zealand, chilled beef, ox hinds, 145-2101bs, 5Jd; fores, 33d; Union of South Africa, chilled beef hinds, 5 7-8 d; fores, 3 7-Bd. All others are unchanged.
