TeL Copyright) (Received Dec. 30, 11 a.m.) CAIRO, Dm. 29 The overwhelming majorities carrying the Address-lu-Reply in Parliament reflect the politicians' anxiety regarding Italian aspirations and the disinclination to substitute an JtalianEgyptiau for a British-Egypt!an treaty. There were only seven supporters of the Wafdist no-confidence motion. A Nationalist amendment, opposing the treaty, with a provision for mutual support in the event of either being attacked, gained a solitary vote. The tenor of the speeches was that while th** British-Egyptian treaty was not perfect Egypt’s geographical position. if nothing else, compelled loyalty to it, especially in face of the fear that Egypt might become a battle ground in the event of conflict emerging frc»|i the present tension.
