WOFFATT AT TE AROHA EVENING SPORTS RESULTS (Special to Times) TE AROHA, Thursday The largest attendance of the season was present at Herries Park last evening for the evening sports of the Te Aroha Cycling Club, when the contestants in the cycling events included Giles and Slack, of New Plymouth, and Lambourne, of Christchurch. A feature was the attempt to break the Te Aroha* one lap (440yds.) record of 30 1-os. Moffatt, of Waihi, completed the feat in 30s, A. Sheat being timed at 30 l-ss, Slack 30 2-ss, and Kingsford and Carr 21s each. Results:— One mile junior cycle handicap: T. Kiely, scr., 1; K. Grattan, scr., 2; L. Cross, 50yds., 3. Time: 2.30 2-5. One mile cycle handicap: Moffatt, 25yds., 1 ; Carr, 50yds., 2: J. Skiffington, 75yds., 3. Time: 2.12. One mile and a-half junior handicap: C. Reader. 200yds., 1; T. Kiely, scr., *2; K.
