Daladier had a lengthy conference with M. Bonnet regarding Franco-ltalian relations, and also saw IVI. Mandal, Minister for Colonies, and members of the Colonial High Command, after which he decided to send reinforcements to Djibouti, where France has only a small force at present. Official circles deny the report that Italian troop movements are threatening Somaliland and Djibouti. M. Bonnet, speaking at a luncheon, declared that the nation is declining if it ceases to regard as sacred and inviolable the least important bit of earth over which the flag flies. Replying to congratulations on his recent speech, in which he proclaimed that France will not cede an inch of territory, he said: “I am convinced that I interpreted not only the firm will of the Government but the feeling of the peop!<_\_
