EVENTB AT SOUTHWELL TWO RECORDS BROKEN A- feature of this morning’s events at the Southwell School Sports which were held on the school grounds at Claudelands to-day was the breaking of two records. In the high jump under 12, V. J. Larner cleared 4ft., to better the previous record by one inch, while in the long jump under 13. Deed's best effort was 14ft., or 21 inches better than P. Shepherd's 1933 record. Keen competition was the order throughout and there were good finishes in all events. Results during the morning were:— High jump, under 12.—V. J.
