PING-PONG DANCE.

KAIPAKI CLUB FUNCTION As a finale to the series of ping-pong evenings held during the winter, the Kaipaki ping pong club organised a very successful dance in the hall on We*dnesday evening. There was a large number present, comprising representatives of most of the surrounding districts. Phil Campbell's Orchestra (Hamilton), played excellent dance music. A novelty dance was won by Mr M. Boyd and Miss Shaw. During the evening the trophies won during the season were presented to the successful players. In making the presentations, Mr Colin McDonald congratulated the winners. He announced that the silver challenge cup. presented by Mr Maurice Sexton, six years ago. had been won by Mr Fergus Boyd five times. Mr Sexton felt that Mr Boyd deserved to hold it outright. and in its place he offered a similar cup. for further competition, for which he was thanked. Miss Sage COhaupo) was the winner of the club's challenge cup. to be held for a year. Miss Ina Farrell and Mr Swevenson were the winners of the handicap cups.

A delicious supper was served in the long supper room where the tables were artistically decorated with spring flowers-
