SPRING WEDDING.
JACK—MAWSON BRIDE'S WHITE SATIN GO\VN The wedding took place at St. John s Methodist Church, Hamilton ! East, on the afternoon of Saturday, ! October 15, when Moira Helen, second i daughter of Mr and Mrs W. T. Mawj son, of Naylor Street, Hamilton East, | was married to Victor Alexander ! Dewar, youngest son of Mr George ! Jack, of McFarlane Street. Hamilton j East, and the late Mrs Jack. The ; ceremony was performed by the Rev. j G. E. Brown and the wedding music was played by Mrs A. Woods, sister of the bridegroom. The church had been beautifully arranged with floral decorations in shades of blue and white. The bride, who entered the church with her father, wore a slim-fltting gown of white satin riche, falling to form a graceful train, finished with lovely, embossed lace inlet to form lovers' knots. The bodice, designed with long, shirred sleeves fitting into the wrists and a Peter Pan collar finished at the neckline with a sprig of orange blossom, was trimmed at the back with tiny satin buttons to the high waistline. Her veil of white tulle held in place with an orange blossom halo, backed with pleated tulle beautifully appliqued at the corners, fell to form a second train over her gown. She carried a bouquet of arum lilies, lily-of-the-vallev, pale pink gladioli and silver leaves. Attendants’ Blue Net Frocks The bride was attended by Miss June Watkins, Miss Mary Calderwood aDd Miss Joan Mawson, sister of the bride, as bridesmaids, and Valerie Williams, niece of the bride, as flower girl. The ’maids wore graceful frocks of soft blue spotted net over lagoon blue silk taffeta slips. The sunray shaped bodices with large, puffed sleeves, and Peter Pan collars, were allied to full, flared skirts, the skirts, sleeves and collars being trimmed with three rows of lagoon blue satin ribbon with girdles to match. Their headdresses were halos of soft blue net, small blue flowers and silver leaves, tying under the chin with satin ribbon to tone and they carried fan-shaped bouquets composed of deep salmon pink carnations, gerberas and maidenhair fern tied with blue and silver trailing ribbons. The small flower girl, dressed as a charming miniature of the bridesmaids, carried a posy of deep salmon pink gerberas, carnations and gladioli. The bridegroom was attended by his brother, Mr Gordon Jack, as best man and Mr Ivan Fell and Mr Leslie Jchnson were groomsmen. The ushers at the church were Messrs Cyril Williams and Frederick Jack.
Following the ceremony a reception was held at the Centreway Rooms where artistic floral decorations in shades of blue and salmon pink had been carried out. The guests were received by Mrs Mawson, mother of the bride, assisted by Mrs Woods, sister of the groom. Mrs Mawson was wearing a Canadian model frock of
