Auguat 2® In the Police Court this morning Arthur Stickings, o- Peter Fisher (31), seaman, formerly of Auckland, taxi-driver, was handed Into the custody of Detective Wilton, or Auckland, for extradition to New Zealand to face a charge of robbery under arms. Detective-Sergeant Boswell said he arrested Stickings on August 15 on a provisional warrant. Accused said he was Stickings, alias Fished, and was the person named in the provisional warrant, adding: "I am the man, but you are a day late.” He made no reply when charged. Detective Wilson, of Auckland, produced the original warrant, and 6aid: “ I know the defendant personally. The crime with which he Is charged is punishable with 15 years' hard labour in the Dominion.” Little Interest by Accused Accused—slim, dark, young-looking and well dressed in brown—appeared to take little interest in the proceedings. He asked no questions and offered no objections when- the magistrate, Mr Sheridan, granted the application for an extradition order. On further charges against accused cf having had in his possession £ll 4s 9£d reasonably suspected of having been stolen, and of being u prohibited immigrant, the police prosecutor offered no evidence. He said that in view of the extradition order the Immigration officers had no desire to proceed further with that matter. Both charge# were withdrawn. The Atta Service Station in Auckland was the scene of an alleged robbery early on August 8. The night attendant was alleged to have been held up by two men, one of whom had a sawn-off shotgun, arid robbed of £219. The case against Florence Stewart of having in her possession money suspected of having been stolen Is being heard in camera, by virtue of the Female First' Offender's Act.
