FREEMASONS’ LODGE
CLEAR BTATEMENT OF POLICY TRUE OBJECTS OBSCURED AVOIDANCE OF POLITICS (United Press Assn.—nee. Tel. Copyright) (Received August 29, 11.55 a.m.) LONDON, August 28 The Grand Lodge of Freemasons in England, in a statement, says:— “ In view of the statements recently issued, which distorted or obscured Freemasonry's true objects. It is considered necessary to emphasis that the Grand Lodge has always consistently refused to express any opinion on questions of foreign or domestic State policy, either at home or abroad. “ It will not allow its name to be associated with any action, however humanitarian it may appear to be. which infringes its unalterable policy of standing aloof from every question affecting the relations between one Goernment and another, or between political parties, or questions regarding rival theories of Government.”
