WAIKATO HUNT FINAL MKI-T AT THE KENNELS MANY INTERESTED SPECTATORS Wintry conditions, with cold wind and rain, did not deter a large field from meeting the master of the Waikato Hunt, Mr Wynn Brown, at The Kennels, at Cambridge, on Saturday. Many followers in cars also watched the sport from vantage points along the roadways. After the final run those present were invited to “Ngaheke,” the master's homestead, where Mrs Ned Brown, Mrs L. L. Orr and Miss Rhoda Brown entertained the gathering lo afternoon tea, a blazing log fire in the sitting-room and the shelter of the spacious verandah affording a welcome change from the conditions out-of-doors. Noticed in the fields among the lady riders were: Mrs T. *M. Allen, from Morrinsville, the wife of the deputy master; Mrs Donald Gorrie, Mrs Frank Baker, Miss Kathleen Fisher. SOCIAL AFTERNOON CROQUET CLUB MEMBERS Continuing the series of social afternoons held by members of the Cambridge Croquet Club, Mrs H. ; Skellern was last week hostess at her home in Cambridge. 1 Several musical and elocutionary items and novel competitions were arranged for the entertainment of the large number present. Mrs V. Hollis, Miss J. Blackman and Mrs A. Holmes contributed vocal solos. Mrs H. Skellem and Mrs S. Hall pianoforte solos, Mrs L. Parker a mandolin solo, Miss Ina Holmes and Master Fraser Munroe elocutionary items. Mrs Catran, Mrs R. Muir and Mrs 11. Williams were the winners of the competitions. Others present were: Mesdames J. Joll, James Watt, D. Hastie, C. W. Hooker, D. Murray, S. Armstrong, 11. Hitchcock, E. B. Komsley, W. 11. Hall, Hulse, Colin Wood, 11. Bear, G. Goodman, W.
