FAREWELL PARTY
PRESENTATIONS AT ROTOWARO Prior to her departure to reside at Auckland, a farewell party was tendered by her friends to Mrs J. Clout, of Rotowaro. Mrs Clout was one of the lirst social workers in the district and had given assistance in many ways. On behalf of her friends, Mrs R. Coan presented her with a silver tea service and a silver sandwich plate. Airs Clout suitably replied. Master Freddie Scurr presented her with a double spray of s’ring flowers. Mrs W. AtcKcnzic gave recitations and Mrs W. Black sang two songs. A delicious tea was served and an enjoyable afternoon was spent. Many were unable to attend owing t a Hnees. Among those present were:—-Mes-dames J. Scurr, F. Smith. G. Mottram, E Hildebrand. A. McCallum, W. McKenzie, W. Black. J. Cummings, W. g c urr G. Gill, A. B. Jones, D. McCallum A. Bullock, T. McCallum.
