AMALGAMATION MOOTED
HAMILTON SWIMMING CLUBS STIMULATING INTEREST A proposal to amalgamate the Technical Old Boys and Old Boys swimming clubs was discussed at the annual meeting of the latter club on Thursday evening. It was stated that club nights in Hamilton had not been successful last season, and that if the two clubs were amalgamated there would be a belter opportunity of improving club nights. No decision was arrived at by the meeting, but it was decided to approach the Technical Club, aad to hold another meeting on Monday. To stimulate interest in swimming it was decided to approach various business firms with a view to conducting inter-house relays. The following officers were elected: Patron, Mr H. D. Tait; president, Mr H. Holloway; secretary, Mr J. Kenning; water polo coach and selector, Mr E. White. A vote of appreciation was passed to Mr L. Irwin, the retiring secretary, for his services over a number of years.
