TRAFFIC OFFENCES
MINOR CASES DEALT WITH MAGISTRATE’S COURT BUSINESS Minor traffic offences comprised the bulk of the cases brought before Mr S. L. Paterson, S.M., at yesterday’s sitting of the Magistrate's Court in Hamilton. Convictions were entered and fines imposed as follows: — Driving at excessive speed: Harold Percy Stanley and Benjamin D. Gibbs, each fined £1 and costs'. Exceeding speed-limit for heavy vehicles: Thomas Rowan, of Te Awamutu, fined £2 and 10s costs; R. R. Clements, of Hamilton F.ast, £2 and costs. Overloading under road classification: Sydney Thomas Marson, of Hamilton, fined £2 and JOs costs. Overloading beyond license limit: George Jamieson Mr G. L. Mae Diarmid . £1 and cosls. overloading botli under road classification and under license: Norman Wilson, of Taupiri, fined £2 and costs on the first charge. £1 and cos*s on the second. A charge of overloading preferred against Francis MacQuibbon Mr \V. H. Adams by Inspector G. G. Winter, Waikato County Council inspector, was disWilliain Sutherland, of Hamilton, fined £2 and costs with his driver's license (Continued in next column)
endorsed until May 31, 1939. No driver's license: James Edward Conrad. of Komakorau. fined 10s and costs. No lamp on cycle: James Wilson. of Frankton, fined 10s and costs. Riding cycle on footpath: May Agnew, fined ios and costs. Charged with negligently riding a bicycle in Victoria Street, as a result of which he skidded and knocked down a child riding a tricycle across a pedestrian crossing, James Roy Hill was convicted and fined £2 and costs-
