June II On the eve of the final instalment of the municipal elections, lo be held tomorrow. Czechoslovak legal experts worked all day and night trying to devise. a new formula whereby it is hoped to dovetail most of the Sudeten Germans’ demands into the Government's minorities statute. The Government has agreed in principle to accept tho Sudeten German’s memorandum of June 8 as a basis for discussion. The Government has appealed for voluntary contributions toward defence and £2,000,000 has already been subscribed. A clash occurred between Czechs and Sudeten Germans at Warmdorf, which resulted in 4 7 Germans being arrested. One thousand others demonstrated and the release of those arrestrn was evenruarrv mvinrea.
