JUNE WEDDING

CEREMONY AT MORRINSVILLE SING —CUNNINGHAM The wedding took place at Knox Presbyterian Church, Morrinsville, on the afternoon of June 4, when Eunice Betty, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs Robert Cunningham, “Pukehau,” Morrinsville, was married to Frederic Andrew, eldest son of Mr and Mrs Charles Sing, Starkey's Road, . Morrinsville. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. G. A. Naylor and Mrs R. Harris presided at th'e organ. The church had been beautifully arranged with chrysanthemums in shades of gold. The bride, who entered the church with her father, wore a graceful redingote of magnolia satin d'azur over knife-pleated georgette, falling to a train appliqued with satin flowers. Her veil, mounted on a coronet of orange blossom, fell to form a second train, and she carried a sheaf of cream spring flowers. Maids’ Magnolia and Gold Frocks In attendance as bridesmaids were Miss Sybil Cunningham, Miss Aldyth Cunningham and Miss Jocelyn Bellingham, Auckland, and Yvonne Cunningham, of Kereone, was flowergirl. The ’maids wore slightly trained frocks of magnolia georgette over satin with gold flowers appliqued on the skirts, and capes and sashes of gold satin backed in chrysanthemum shade. On their hair they wore

headdresses of stiffened net with gold and chrysanthemum flowers, and they carried crescents in shades of gold and cream. The little flower-girl wore a picture frock of similar colouring. The bridegroom was attended by Mr Alan Sing as best man and Mr Keith Cunningham and Mr Grahame Howie as groomsmen. The ushers at the church were Messrs J. Swarbrick and George Hall. The Reception The Masonic Hall, where the reception was held following the ceremony, had been artistically decorated with palms, gold Iceland poppies and autumn leaves. The guests were received by Mrs Cunningham, mother of the bride, who was wearing a navy wool georgette ensemble with fox furs. Her hat was of matching peachbloom velour and she carried a posy of flowers in shades of red and royal blue. The bridegroom’s mother wore a frock in deep cyclamen shade with a matching bat and fur coat. Her posy was composed of toning flowers. When Mr and Mrs F. A. Sing left later by car fur the honeymoon, which is being spent in a motor tour of the South Island, the bride travelled wearing a suit of royal blue cavalry cloth with grey fur and grey accessories.
