The British steamer Thorpe Haven was again bombed at Alicante and is sinking. DELIBERATE ATTACKS BRITISH SHIPS BOMBED STRONG PROTEST BY CAPTAINS (United Press A:sn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright) LONDON, June 10 A telegram from Valencia says another British steamer, the Stanray, is reported to have been machine-gunned from a lone seaplane. There were no casualties. Seven captains of British ships have lodged a protest with the'British Consul at Valencia, stating that the evidence overwhelmingly indicates that the attacks on neutral shipping are deliberate. The aeroplanes, it is stated, fly low to use bombs and machine guns with the greatest accuracy. The British destroyer" Vanoc has arrived at Alicante to investigate the raids on British shipping, states the Madrid correspondent of the Times.
