June 11 The Morning Herald publishes the decision of the New Zealand Rugbv Union that all matches of the All Blacks on the Australian tour must be played under international rules, and in a foot-note giving the decision of the New South Wales 'Rugby Union on June 7 says the position may lead to strained relations in connection with the tour. On June 7 the council of the New South Wales Rugby Union unanimously endorsed the management committee's action in informing the New Zealand Rugby Union that it desired the rules at present in operation in Australia to be observed in the All Blacks’ matches.
