WOMEN’S ASSOCIATION The monthly meeting of the Women's Association of the Hamilton Post and Telegraph Association was held recently at the Y.W C.A. lounge. Mrs Buckland presiding. A cordial welcome was extended to Miss Roche, a new member, and to Mesdames Stanley and Wallace, visitors. The" president announced that the association's sixth birthday party would be held at the Centreway rooms on June 18 at 8 p.m. A vote of thapks was accorded Mrs Cameron for donating and baking the birthday cake. On behalf of the members, Mrs Buckland presented a farewell gift to Miss M. Coxan, who has been transferred to Timaru. A further interesting talk on travel in the East was -given by Mr Yale. Competitions were won by Misses M. Coxan and Roche. A delicious afternoon tea was served by the hostesses. Mesdames Cameron. Green, Gunn and Miss I. Lloyd.
