SHOULD KNOW BETTER
INEBRIATED TAXI-DRIVER (By Telegraph.—Press Association) WELLINGTON, Tuesday “In my opinion, you, as a taxidriver. should know much better than other drivers how serious an offence it is to become drunk in charge of a car. There is no suggestion here that you were merely slightly Intoxicated,’’ said Mr A. M. Goulding, S.M., in convicting William Henry Solomon (40) on such a charge to-day. A fine of £2O was imposed and his license was cancelled for two years from the end of this month.
