EASTER SERVICES.
OBSERVANCES YESTERDAY CHURCHES IN HAMILTON Special Easter services were held in H ilton churches on the occasion ot • 1 Friday yesterday, a feature being the sineing of sacred music concerning the crucifixion of Christ. Devotions of the three hours were celebrated at St. Peters Cathedral, while in addition to the usual services, the passion play “The Garden" was presented at St. George s, Franky observance was made at St. Aldan's, Claudelands. At the Church of Our Lady of the Rosary, Holy Hour was observed on Thursday evening, while yesterday the Mass of the Pre-Sanctifled was celebrated. In the evening the ceremony of the Stations of the Cross was held followed by sermon on the “Passion of Our Lord.*’ Members of the Salvation Army Joined in worship at the Citadel, Bryce Street, yesterday, for special services.
