A CHEERFUL FUNERAL
FILM WRITER IN HOLLYWOOD LAST WISHES CARRIED OUT United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. CoDyrlghl HOLLYWOOD, April 4 A strange, cheerful funeral was arranged for the film writer Austin Parker, by his former wife, Miriam Hopkins, screen star. Mr Parker had requested that there be no eulogies, sadness, singing, or religious service at his funeral. Miriam Hopkins. Ronald Colman, Brian Aherne and other movie celebrities attended the ceremonies. “ Austin simply wanted his close friends to sit around and talk about what a good chap he was,” explained Miss Hopkins. “ That is exactly what we are doing.” Mr Parker served in tile Great War, with the French Air Force, and was awarded the Croix de Guerre. Later he served for a year under the Sultan of Morocco la the campaign against the fUffi.
