Mr D. J. Gummings, Commissioner of Police, is in Hamilton. Dr. H. B. Lange, of Apia, Samoa, is at the Hamilton Hotel. Messrs. T. B. Wright, T. Allen (Auckland) and J. McKinney, of Auckland, organiser for the Centennial Fund, was present and associated with the Waikato Presbytery at this morning's meeting. Archbishop O’Shea is a patient in the Little Company of Mary Hospital, Wellington. His indisposition is slight, and it is expected that he will be out again this week. Lord Malcolm Douglas-Hamllton, who is conducting a party 0 f English schoolboys on a tour of New Zealand, visited Hamilton to-day and later left for Ngaruawahia. The Rt. Rev. L. S. Kempthorne. Bishop in Polynesia, arrived at Auckland by the Niagara yesterday. He will remain in the Dominion lor six weeks and will attend a meeting of the board of missions. Mr. Paul Falla, of the Foreign • •fllce, London, and formerly of Wellington. has been appointed to a post in the British Embassy at Warsaw. Mr. Falla is a son of Mr. N. S. Kalla, chairman and managing-director of the Union Steam Ship Company, Limited. Dr. P. 11. Buck. New Zealand-horn director of the Bishop Museum, Honolulu, has been given a diploma of honorary fellowship in the Royal Anthropological Institute of Great Britain. It is thought this is the first time a New Zealander has been so honoured by the institute.
