Kennedy, chalr- , man of the Piako county council, gave an i outline of the proposed district water eup- ' ply scheme. An estimate or the cost or installation, area to be served, and quantity or water available had been compiled by the county engineer, Mr B. H. Homer. The initial cost would be £75,000 to serve 35,000 acres, witn a pipe line or 7 5 miles. The engineer was or tne opinion that water could be supplied at about is i per 1000 gallons.
