MAORI FOUND SHOT

EXPLOSION OF CARTRIDGE (By Telegraph.—Press Association) WANGANUI. Monday Teoka Xgawina (28), married, was found shot in a camp at Tokomaru East yesterday morning. He appears to have been cleaning a .303 rifle evidently with a cartridge in. which was pushed back in the breach. Later, whiel he was closing the breach, the cartridge exploded through the breach, deceased receiving the charge in the chest. The rifle had been tied to the ridgepole of a tent.
