STATE OF PARTIES SPLIT IN LABOUR RANKB OPPOSITION TO MR LANG United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright (Received April 2, 11.15 a.m.) SYDNEY, April 2 The counting of votes in the State elections has virtually been completed. Mr Hankinson retained the Murrumbidgee seat. Parliament will meet on April 12, and the state of parties will be as follows : United Australia 37 United Country Party .. .. 22 Australian Labour .. 28 Industrial Labour .. . . 2 Independent .. .. .. 1 Rival Labour Leaders As a result of a meeting of the Labour Party opponents of Mr J. T. Lang
it is likely that for the first time there will be rival Labour leaders in the New South Wales Parliament. The meeting decided that Mr Heffron should he regarded as the leader of Industrialists and that their policy he announced in the new Parliament through him. It is considered certain that Mr Larg will be re-elected leader of the Parliamentary Labour Party.
