NOTES FROM TE AROHA CONDITION OF MAZIR GOLDEN SHEILA WELL (Special to Times.) TE AROHA, Friday. Since racing at the Ohinemun meeting Golden Sheila has made a marked improvement, and in the matter of appearance is much more forward. In a mile gallop on Thursday morning she registered an attractive performance, finishing on in flne style. Miss L. Johnson’s galloping sire, who performed unsuccessfully at the Bay of Plenty fixture, is none the worse for # his Tauranga visit, and ha* benefited by the further education received in public, inasmuch as he has quietened down considerably on the tracks. The Oration filly, Noitaro, is a regular visitor to the tracks and is getting through her work in a manner denoting that she should run prominently in her Ellerslie engagements at Easter. In the matter of racing condition no fault can be found with Rulette, who is executing her track work in approved style. She will be in fine trim for the Auckland meeting at Easter. Mr P. A. Swney’s Lagoon, whose preparation this season was detrimentally affected by an enlarged hind fetlock joint, has been taken out of work for the present racing season. Three times a week Mazir is worked on the local tracks. He is better in racing condition than he has been since he registered a win a few weeks ago at Te Rapa, and may run accordingly in his early engagements. Attack, by Spear Dance—Keep Watch is now being given a spell in her owner's Waitoa property. JV
