WAIKATO DIOCESAN GIRLS close finishes witnessed HOUSE POINTS TO SHACKLETOX | The annual swimming sports of the j Waikato Diocesan School For Girls | held yesterday afternoon in the Muni- | cipaL Baths were attended by a large number of parents and friends. Fine weather prevailed and with races run to time and excellent organisation an enjoyable afternoon was spent, many close and exciting finishes being witnessed. The senior championship was won by Sheila D’Arcy Smith, with Shirley Grumitt second, and Barbara Pountney third. The intermediate event was annexed by Heather Mac Diarmid, followed by Marjorie Holden second, and Heather Scott and Margaret Scrimshaw equal in third place. The junior championship winner was Betty Wills. Treve Larner was second and Jane Seymour third. The results of the championship events were:— Senior Free Style. B. Pountney 1, M.
