SHOW RESULTS

AUCKLAND FIXTURE A. AND P. ASSOCIATION LARGE ENTRIES IN ALL CLASSES (Times* Special Reporter.) AUCKLAND, Friday With large numbers of entries in all classes the Auckland Metropolitan Agricultural and Pastoral Association's annual show opened at the showgrounds this morning in ideal weather. To-day was mostly reserved for judging but nevertheless there was a large attendance, particularly of the countryfolk who took a keen interest in the judging of the various sections. The Jersey section was a little disappointing in regard to both numbers and quality but the Milking Shorthorns, Ayrshires and Friesians were strongly represented and the quality in these classes was well up to previous standards. The entries in all the horse, pig and sheep sections were also large and here again the quality was favourably commented upon. CHAMPIONSHIP AWARDS Ayrshires Cow: Hutchings Bros.’ entry.
