TE AWAMUTU WINS GAMES WITH CAMBRIDGE (Special to Times) 1 TE AWAMUTU, Thursday Eight members of the Cambridge 1 Domain Croquet Club visited Te Awa- , mutu on Wednesday when they ent gaged the Te Awamutu Croquet Club i in a series of friendly matches which j resulted in a win for the local club by 182 points 1o 108 points. 1 'l’be visitors were welcomed by the s president of the Te Awamutu Club, Q Mrs H. C. Rainey, and at the conclus- . ion of the games, Mrs Beer thanked the local club for an enjoyable afternoon. Following are the results, with Te Awamutu players mentioned first:— Mesdaines Dowds and Davis lost to Mesdames Tucker and Gane, 15—26; Mesdames Cole and Pearte beat Mesdames White and Glanville, 26—25; Mesdames Y'oung and Ryan lost to Mesdames Beer and Wallis, 22—2 G; Mesdames Dowds and Davis beat Mesdames Tucker and Gane, 26—19; Mesdames Webber and Clark beat Mesdames Oaten and Schweites, 26—5; Mesdames Cole and Noonan beat Mesdames White and Glanville, 26—11; Mesdames Jourdain and Meredith lost n to Mesdames Beer and Wallis, 13—23 unfinished) ; Mesdames Dowds and l” Davis lost to Mesdames Tucker and q Gane, 8—26; Mesdames Zohrab and Paul beat Mesdames Oaten and Schweites, 20—7 (unfinished).
