Radio Licenses.—The total number of radio licenses current in New Zealand at the end of January was 267,ucompared with 22b,370 at the same period last 'ear. These totals represent the aggregate of receivers’, rs . and number of free licenses, in addition to those for broadcasting. Receiving licenses increased by 41.423 and tire total is now i 26 3.'.>93. comprising the following trgures fr-m the four provinces:— I Wellington. 92.150: Auckland. 36.534. j Canterbury, 49,355 ; Otago, 35,926.
